Pair of Antique Victorian Staffordshire Royal Portrait Figures " Queen Victoria & Prince Albert"

A very fine and scarce Pair of Mid 19th Century Antique Victorian Staffordshire Royal Portrait Figures of Queen Victoria and her consort, Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. Rarely seen today, these particular models were attributed, somewhat tentatively, by P.D.Gordon Pugh, in his classic work, "Staffordshire Portrait Figures of the Victorian Era", where they are cataloged as Figures 8 and 9, to the modeller and manufacturer, H.Bentley of Hanley, Staffordshire. Lovely colors, museum quality professional restoration to Prince Albert's left hand and to his sword. A rare opportunity to purchase this scarce and important pair of figures. Antique Victorian "Cleopatra" Pattern Ironstone Vase & Cover

An impressive Mid 19th Century Antique Victorian Ironstone Vase and Cover decorated in the "Cleopatra" pattern, by Francis Morley & Co., of Shelton, Staffordshire, almost certainly produced from an earlier Mason's mould. According to Geoffrey Godden, { Godden's Guide to Ironstone, Stone and Granite Wares }, Francis Morley, who married the daughter of William Ridgway, acquired the Mason copper plates, moulds and seemingly the right to use the description and marks "Mason's Ironstone China", by private purchase, perhaps before the advertised April 1848 auction sale of the whole stock of Mason's "Fixtures, Utensils, Stock etc. belonging to the Estate of Mr. C.J. Mason". This most attractive and highly decorative piece has unfortunately suffered some damage, being cracked and having some minor chips to the inside of the cover. These defects do not however detract from it's imposing appearance. The underside clearly marked in underglaze blue with the pattern name "Cleopatra" and the upper case letter F, together with the pattern number 3 / 1504 in underglaze red in third series fractional form. Height : 15.00 inches : Width : 10.50 inches : Depth : 9.00 : Year : Circa 1850 : Ref. AVPIVACBFMCOSS. $495.00. Please add $150.00 USD to your order to ship this item. Thank You.

Antique Victorian Davenport Blue & White Transfer Serving Dish

An attractive Mid 19th Century Antique Victorian Blue and White Transfer Serving Dish by John Davenport of Longport, Staffordshire, printed in a medium blue palette, and impress marked upon the underside with the factory code for 1860. Quite honestly, we would have thought this piece to be one of the "Scott's Illustrations" series, but unfortunately, the border doesn't match; so, for the moment we have to say, "Unidentified View". All constructive comments and suggestions welcome. Printed as well as impressed Maker's marks to underside. Height: 10.00 in. : Width: 13.00 in. : Year: Circa 1860 : Ref. AVDBAWTSD. $295.00. Please add $65.00 USD to your order to ship this item. Thank You.
