Framed Stipple Engraving : "The Surprise" : Francesco Albano after Thomas Rowlandson

A truly delightful Framed Sepia Stipple Engraving, "The Surprise", signed in facsimile, Francesco Albano, after a drawing signed and dated, Rowlandson 1799. Presented here mounted and suitably framed in a period style modern moulded giltwood frame, this picture is offered purely as a decorative item and comes with no warranty, either express or implied, as to it's age or provenance. Thomas Rowlandson's mildly erotic work has proved perennially popular, and has, as a result been widely copied down the years. Thus, whilst this lovely picture will undoubtedly afford pleasure and delight to the eye, it's academic authenticity vis-a-vis it's age remains open to question : Ref. FSETSFAATR. $750.00. Please add $95.00 USD to your order to ship this item. Thank You.
