On arrival, as part of a large collection of Gaudy Welsh, these were ticketed as \"Snowflake\" pattern, which seems entirely appropriate, but, that said, the pattern appears to be that listed as \"Coral\" in South's \"Gaudy Welsh, A Visual Reference\". Furthermore, as if to \"muddy the waters\", this pattern was used during the 19th century by Mintons and it may well be that this pair of cups and saucers were in fact produced in Stoke-on-Trent by that illustrious company.
