A small number of such presentation caskets were commissioned, the first in 1974 to mark the Centenary of Sir Winston Churchill, another for presentation by Stoke-on-Trent's civic dignitaries to the people of Trenton, New Jersey, the centre of the American pottery industry, and another to commemorate the Royal Wedding of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
