The underside fully marked in green with the Royal Doulton backstamp as used from 1927 to 1932, this together with the numeral 4, indicating that this figurine was issued in 1931, the first year of issue, partial impressed Date Code 0-31, and an indistinct impressed Model Number, in red script, \"Love locked in\"and Potted by Doulton \u0026amp; Co_.., and in black, the Painter's Monogram RB for Reg Brown, recorded as working at Doulton from Circa 1928 to 1962.
