An attractive Late 19th Century Antique English Victorian Brass Oil Lamp in the Art Nouveau manner, produced by Samuel Messenger & Sons of Birmingham, { Circa 1835 - 1930 } for Harrods Stores of London. Fine quality cut glass font, the collar stamped MESSENGER'S, the key operated rise and fall burner { now rather stiff } stamped MESSENGER'S PATENT, the wick winder button marked HARRODS ~ MESSENGERS ~ STORES. Etched opaque globular glass shade of the period. Replacement 20th Century clear glass chimney as one would expect.
