Reg Johnson ~ Staffordshire Studio Potter Par Excellence ~ We hold what is probably the world’s largest and most comprehensive collection of the works of renowned designer, potter and painter Reginald Johnson, { 1909 – 1993 }, who having joined Royal Doulton at the age of fourteen, became at sixteen the only student ever to receive direct tuition at the hands of Charles J. Noke, the company’s famous Art Director. Following his retirement as Art Director of Paragon China, by then part of Royal Doulton Group, Reg continued to produce the most wonderful creations in his own Studio Pottery until his death in 1993. A paragon indeed of the finest English craftsmanship.
