A very fine and heavy Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Cast Iron and Brass Fender in excellent condition and of most unusual design, the foliate cast iron frieze set between two bands of brass and supported by three cast iron "Lion's Paw" feet. Pleasingly, this piece still retains it's original steel bottom-plate, these so often having been removed from otherwise complete fenders when found today. Clearly produced to complement a 48.00 inch fireplace, sizes are as follows:-
