Description

Quite delightful ~ A highly decorative Late 19th Century Antique German Porcelain Oil Lamp, probably made for the English market, the underside bearing the blue double crossed line mark of the Von Schierholz Porcelain Manufactory of Plaue, Thuringia { Circa 1865 - 1911 }. The beautifully moulded base and column, with a country boy prancing gaily among the flowers, carries a fine quality cranberry glass font, with good clean brass duplex burner, the wick winder buttons each marked "ENGLISH MADE", the impressive ensemble brought to perfection by a really lovely delicately etched cranberry glass shade of the period. Replacement chimney as one would expect, and the whole supplied, as agreed, together with a second { damaged } shade of the period. Altogether an Interior Decorator's dream !
