A good Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Blue and White Transfer Indented Pottery Plate, printed in the "Camel" pattern by John Rogers and Son of Dale Hall, Longport, Staffordshire, { fl. 1815 - 1842 }. The scene is derived from Plate 25, "Gate leading to a Musjed, at Chunar Ghur", of Thomas & William Daniell's "Oriental Scenery and Views in Hindoostan : Part I", published by Robert Bowyer, at the Historic Gallery, Pall Mall, London, between 1795 and 1807. The reverse bearing the impressed Maker's Mark, ROGERS, together with an underglaze blue asterisk and faint one inch long scratch.
