This fine Late 20th Century porcelain figurine, "The Duke of Wellington 1769 - 1852", offered here in a red and white colourway, bears all of the hallmarks of Reg Johnson's multi-faceted talent, not only as designer, but also as potter and painter. Superbly modelled, beautifully decorated, fired in his own studio, and complete with separate sword, this lovely piece offers the perfect introduction to the works of this talented Staffordshire artist, examples of whose work may now be viewed at The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery.
