A fine and rare Early 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine ~ "The Modern Piper" ~ HN 756, decorated in a really lovely lavender and green colourway and designed by leading Doulton artist, Leslie Harradine. Issued from 1925 to 1940, this particular figurine was we believe produced in 1927. This belief is supported by the set of marks to be found on the underside, comprising, in green, the Royal Doulton backstamp as in use from 1922 to 1927, this accompanied by the Painter's Monogram C.N., at present unidentified, but recorded as working at Doulton c.1927, and in black, The Pied Piper, Potted by Doulton & Co., HN 756, plus an impressed Model Number.
