A lovely Millenium Year example of what might fairly be described as Royal Doulton's most popular ever English Porcelain Figurine, "Top o' the Hill" ~ HN 1834, decorated in a rich red colourway, designed by leading Doulton artist, Leslie Harradine , and issued from 1937 to 2004. The underside fully marked in black with the Royal Doulton backstamp, HN 1834, TOP O' THE HILL, Modelled by Leslie Harradine, { facsimile signature }, © ROYAL DOULTON TABLEWARE LIMITED 1937, MILLENIUM 2000 logo, blue paper Inspector's Label, and Painter's Monogram GS, probably for Glyn Simpson, recorded as working at Doulton from 1975 to 1999.
