A good Late 19th Century Antique English Victorian Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Jug, advertising "Dewar's Perth Whisky", this on behalf of John Dewar & Sons Ltd, Distillers, of Perth, Scotland. The body decorated with applied cameos of bucolic flavour, and bearing the legend, "By Royal Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen", the base with impressed Maker's Mark, viz, DOULTON LAMBETH ENGLAND as introduced in 1891, together with the numerals 6473 and the lower case script letter a.
