A most attractive Mid 20th Century Vintage English Brass Chestnut Roaster, the pierced box hinged, the decorative finial and boss drawing their inspiration from Durham Cathedral and it's Bishop, whose Steward, Anthony Bek, { 1284 - 1311 } once observed, "There are two kings in England, namely the Lord King of England, wearing a crown in sign of his regality, and the Lord Bishop of Durham, wearing a mitre in place of a crown, in token of his".
