Description

A most attractive Early 20th Century Vintage English "Irish" Pewter Quart Haystack Measure, the underside bearing the 18th Century Maker's Mark, deliberately rubbed, of William Munden & Edmund Grove of London, { 1760 - 1773 : Cotterell O.P. 3330A }, together with a set of touchmarks. Although now, by virtue of it's age, almost qualifying as an antique pewter measure, it was in fact probably made as a decorative item during the first quarter of the 20th Century, at a time when the fashion for "Elizabethan" oak furniture and appropriate accessories was all the rage.

Height ~ 19.00 cm. / 7.50 inches ~ Width ~ 11.50 cm. / 4.50 inches ~ Depth to include handle ~ 16.50 cm. / 6.50 inches ~ Year ~ Circa 1920.
