A large Mid 20th Century Vintage English Pewter Capstan Inkwell, by Englefields of London, { Formerly Brown & Englefield, Founded in 1885 }, one of a pair presently available, { see Fig. 5 }, each piece listed and priced separately here. In good condition, the hinged cover in good order, although no longer possessing it's china ink-pot. The underside of the base bearing the mark, "CROWN & ROSE CAST PEWTER MADE IN LONDON", which mark was first used in 1948.
