A scarce and interesting Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Brass Chalice or Goblet, possibly once part of a Communion set, the bowl, with everted rim, mounted upon a knopped stem, which rises from a stepped, conical, lead weighted foot. The Late 18th and Early 19th Century Gothic Revival in architecture and furnishing drew heavily upon Europe's ecclesiastical heritage for inspiration, and this then fashionable influence is clearly evident in this lovely old piece.
