An interesting Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Brass Maquette, believed to represent Napoleon I, Emperor of France, standing, arms folded, in full uniform, mounted upon a moulded oak base, as he gazes defiantly ahead. Despite the ultimate failure of his military campaigns, and the fear which he had instilled in the British Establishment, Napoleon remained, much to the dismay of the authorities, the focus of much admiration and popular support in Republican circles in the United Kingdom throughout the early part of the Nineteenth Century.
