This lovely old Brass Sheath / Scabbard is frankly something of a puzzle piece. While the finely cast decoration is clearly European in inspiration, we are given to understand by the Vendor that it was acquired in the Middle East during the 1930’s, along with the Brass Hookah, { Stock Ref. VBIH-XX }, which we have just listed. Offered here purely as a decorative item, it may well be earlier in date than we think !
