A sparkling Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Blue and White transfer plate printed in the popular "Village Church" pattern. While this example is unmarked, the pattern is known to have been used by R. & J. Clews of Cobridge, Staffordshire, { 1818 - 1834 }, and, it is believed, by a number of other potters. This piece in lovely condition. For details of the Clews brothers American connection, cf, "Patriotic America" .
