A fine Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Blue and White Transfer Pottery Dessert Plate from the pineapple border series, now generally attributed to John Meir of Greengates Pottery, Tunstall, Staffordshire, { c. 1812 - 1836 }. Printed in a medium blue palette in the "Dalberton Tower Wales" pattern, this being the anglicised name for Dolbadarn Castle, the ruins of which ancient fortress stand overlooking Llyn Padarn in the Welsh County of Gwynedd. The reverse with underglaze blue printed title, viz. DALBERTON TOWER WALES, within a foliate scroll cartouche.
