This magnificent Late 20th Century English Porcelain Cabinet Dish of impressive size bears all of the hallmarks of Reg Johnson's outstanding talent as a ceramics painter and gilder "par excellence". Superbly decorated with a lively Winter scene of villagers gamboling upon a frozen lake, all set within a heavily gilded rococo border, this lovely piece offers the perfect introduction to the works of this talented Staffordshire artist, examples of whose work may now be viewed at The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery.
