This lovely Late 20th Century English Porcelain Vase of amphora form, signed upon the body and delicately hand-painted by the artist with pink and yellow roses, bears all of the hallmarks of Reg Johnson's multi-faceted talent, not only as designer, but also as painter. Superbly painted and gilded, the piece offers the perfect introduction to the works of this talented Staffordshire artist, examples of whose work may now be viewed at The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery. The underside with numeral 3 printed in green, signed, dated and with dedication in black script, viz. :- Painted 1983 by Reginald Johnson for Sheila & Terry Malpass.
