A rare and most attractive Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Blue and White Transfer Pottery Vegetable Tureen and Cover, decorated in a medium blue palette in the "Rural Scenery" pattern, by James Wallace & Co. of Newcastle Pottery, Forth Banks, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland { 1838 - 1857 }. Fully marked on the underside of the tureen with the printed Maker's Mark in underglaze blue, "J.W. & Co. RURAL SCENERY", within a cartouche.
