A fine quality Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Porcelain "Hydra" Jug, colourfully decorated in a "Japan" pattern, and believed to have been potted by Keeling & Co. of Hanley, Staffordshire, { c. 1840 - 50 }. The underside printed in puce with the Maker's Mark, "K & Co B LATE MAYERS, { see Godden, Mark No. 2242 }, this below the device of a Potter kneeling at his wheel above the date 1790 within a strap cartouche, together with what appears to be the painted number 284.
