Price Guide, and offered here in good order, free of chips or cracks, mounted in a well turned, stained beech frame. An attractive, titled lid of medium size, the subject taken from E.M. Ward's 1845 painting, "Doctor Johnson in the ante-room of Lord Chesterfield, Waiting for an Audience, 1748", presently with the Tate Gallery.
