Description

A really lovely Early 19th Century Antique Georgian Pottery "Hydra" jug of octagonal form, the shape first introduced by Mason's, { who gave the shape it's name }, earlier in the century and subsequently widely copied by rival potters. A simple piece imbued with "old fashioned" charm. No Maker's mark, but the base with painted numeral 55 in red.
