The base inscribed, "MODEL OF ONE OF SIX FENNY STRATFORD POPPERS WHICH ARE FIRED ANNUALLY ON THE PATRONAL FESTIVAL ST. MARTINS DAY NOVEMBER 11th FOUNDED ABOUT 1730", and fully marked in black with the Goshawk. Catalogued as Model No. 114 in the A.C.C.'s "Price Guide to the Models of W.H. Goss", by Roland Ward, published in 1975.
