Staffordshire Potter Arthur Bowker, { 1909 - 1962 }, having served his apprenticeship at Foley China, set up in business on his own account in the English Potteries at Longton in 1948, subsequently moving to King Street, Fenton. For the next ten years, until the business closed in 1958, he successfully produced a range of English Staffordshire Bone China models, including this lovely vintage figurine, "Margaret", offered here in a rich red colourway and in perfect condition. Fully marked beneath the open base, "Staffordshire Fine Bone China of Arthur Bowker Made in England".
