A truly delightful Mid 20th Century Vintage Crown Staffordshire English Porcelain Figure Group ~ "Picking Flowers", delicately painted in a soft palette of yellow, blue and green, the design here attributed to T.M. Bayley, this notwithstanding the fact that, although the piece is unsigned, the modelling of one of the children would appear to be very similar to that in Our Stock Ref. VCSEPFPFJTJ-84, the underside of which is fully marked, "Designed and modelled by J.T. Jones", the Art Director of the company. The underside of this piece with green printed Crown Staffordshire backstamp. Highly evocative of the period, this series of "Children at Play" is sure to arouse Happy Memories in all those who grew up in the 1930's and '40's.
