A fine, clean, First Edition copy, signed by both joint authors, of "Bow Porcelain", by Elizabeth Adams and David Redstone, published by Faber and Faber of London in 1981, as one of their Monographs on Pottery and Porcelain series. The Bow factory was longer lived and more prolific than almost any other eighteenth century porcelain factory, and disputes with Chelsea the claim to have been the earliest firm in the field, commencing production, under it's original name of "New Canton" in about 1747, and surviving until the late 1770's. This meticulously documented work, based on much first-hand research by the authors fills what was formerly a serious gap in ceramic history. Hard covers, 251 pages, black and white illustrations plus full colour plates, original dust jacket.
