Published by The Brunswick County Bicentennial Committee in Celebration of the Bicentennial of The United States of America : 1776 - 1976. Subtitled, "The History of a Southside Virginia County", this is an important work of historical record, containing a vast amount of information concerning one of the earliest areas of European settlement in North America. Altogether a splendid academic achievement. Purchased in Southern Spain, the book is signed with a handwritten dedication to the flyleaf, "Compliments of Brunswick County, Virginia" and "7th October 1977, Lucille & Roy". Hard covers, with some minor damp staining, 502 pages, original dust jacket, now rather scruffy due to damp. Other than these minor blemishes this historically important volume is generally in excellent condition, including the fine black and white photographic illustrations.
