A good clean copy of "Old English Furniture For the Small Collector", by J.P. Blake & A.E. Reveirs-Hopkins, first published in 1930, this, the Third Revised Edition issued in 1948. Subtitled, "It's Types, History and Surroundings from Mediaeval to Victorian times", this is the sort of work which is today all too easily dismissed as "old fashioned" and thus of little relevance to the modern collector of antique furniture. To adopt such a stance would however be a mistake, for within these pages, there lurks a galaxy of fine black and white illustrations accompanied by text which, whilst admittedly dated in flavour, has much to offer the student. Hard covers, 154 pages, original dust jacket, { now somewhat careworn }.
