This delightful, crisply modelled Early 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Daffy Down Dilly" ~ HN 1712, offered here in a green colourway, was designed by leading artist Leslie Harradine and was issued from 1935 to 1975. The underside fully marked in green with the printed Royal Doulton backstamp of the period, together with the numeral 9, indicating a date of production of 1936, ie. the second year of issue, "Daffy-Down-Dilly", Rd. No. 803647, { for 1935 }, and in green script, HN. 1712, and indistinct Painter's Monogram, possibly GG(J) recorded as working at Doulton Circa 1933, indistinct impressed Model Number and numeral 13, { partial Date Code }.
