This delightful Mid 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Miss Demure" ~ HN 1463, decorated in a green colourway, was designed by leading Doulton artist Leslie Harradine, and was issued from 1931 to 1949. This example fully marked on the underside in green with the Royal Doulton printed backstamp of the period, together with the numeral 11, indicating that this piece was issued in 1938, "Miss Demure", Rd. No. 753474, { for 1930 }, In green script, HN 1463, and the Painter's Monogram, PD, for Pauline Davenport. Indistinct impressed Model Number, and impressed Date Code, 39338, for either 3rd or 9th March 1938.
