A rare and delightful Early 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Suzette" ~ HN 1577, here wearing an attractive flowered blue dress, { the colour described by Charlton as lavender ! }, designed by leading Doulton artist Leslie Harradine, and issued from 1933 - 1949, this figurine date coded 7 indicating the second year of issue, ie. 1934. The underside fully marked in underglaze green with the printed Royal Doulton backstamp of the period together with the date code 7, "Suzette", Rd. No. 770297, { for 1932 }, in green script, HN 1577, Potted by Doulton & Co, Painter's Monogram in blue, unidentified despite much close scrutiny, and indistinct impressed partial Model Number / Date Code, 12*.
