A rare and fine First Year of Issue Early 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "The Gentlewoman" ~ HN 1632, wearing a lavender dress with a green hat, designed by leading Doulton artist, Leslie Harradine , and issued from 1934 to 1949. The underside fully marked in green with the Royal Doulton backstamp of the period, this together with the numeral 7, indicating that this figurine was produced in 1934, the first year of issue, in green script, The Gentlewoman, HN1632, Potted by Doulton & Co., indistinct impressed Model Number and impressed Date Code, 3534, { for 03 May 1934 }, plus, in black, the Painter's Monogram JCB, unidentified, but recorded as working at Doulton Circa 1930.
