A scarce and fine First Year of Issue Early 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "The Hinged Parasol" ~ HN 1578, attired in a red and yellow dress with spots, designed by leading Doulton artist, Leslie Harradine , and issued from 1933 to 1949. The underside fully marked in green with the Royal Doulton printed backstamp of the period, this together with the numeral 6, indicating that this figurine was potted in 1933, the first year of issue, in green script , The Hinged Parasol, HN. 1578, Potted by Doulton & Co., and the Painter's Monogram H, for Emma C. Harrison, recorded as working at Doulton in 1933.
