This rare and delightful Second Year of Issue Early 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine " The Little Bridesmaid" ~ HN 1433 was potted in 1931, having first been issued in 1930. Designed by leading Doulton artist Leslie Harradine, she is offered here in a pleasing palette of lavender and pink. This popular figurine remained in production until 1951, but early examples such as this are increasingly difficult to source. The underside fully marked in green with the Royal Doulton backstamp for the period, plus, "The Little Bridesmaid", Rd. No. 760607, { for 1930 }, plus the numeral 4 for 1931. In red script, Potted by Doulton, the Painter's monogram, EJE for Emily J. Edwards, listed as working at Doulton during the 1930's, together with a further unidentified symbol.
