This pretty Mid 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "The Skater" ~ HN 2117, was designed by leading Doulton artist Margaret "Peggy" Davies and was issued from 1953 to 1971. Attractively decorated in a red, white and brown colourway, the underside fully marked with the Royal Doulton printed backstamp of the period in green, plus title, "The Skater", COPR.1952, DOULTON AND CO. LIMITED, Rd.No.868313, { for 1952 }, Rd.No. 30418, Rd.No. 170/52,, Rd.No. 6644, and in green script, HN. 2117., and Painter's Monogram, RL, for Ron Legge, listed as working at Doulton.
