A naive and sparsely decorated Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Staffordshire Pottery Royal Portrait Figure of "Queen Victoria" ~ P A41 ~ H 427a. Rarely encountered this one. The Queen standing, crowned and wearing a long ermine-edged cloak over a full-length sprigged dress, a blue sash over her left shoulder, raised, originally gilt, titling, now somewhat worn, to the base. This figure, given the position of the Queen's right arm, seems not to be catalogued by Harding. However, from comparison of the companion figure, "Prince Albert", Pugh A42 with Harding's Fig. 428, this would appear to be a somewhat inferior version of Harding's Fig. 427. For reference purposes and for the sake of clarity, we have therefore taken the liberty of here assigning the reference number H 427a to this figure.
