An interesting Late 19th Century Antique Welsh Victorian Ash and Pine Alms Dish of unusual form. The attractively moulded dish of octagonal form retaining it's original green baize lining. From the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales this dish would have been in regular use in chapel for many decades until the recent widespread abandonment of religious observance which has, sadly, led to the demise of this hitherto important aspect of traditional Welsh culture.
