A large and lovely Late 20th Century Watercolour on paper laid on board, signed and dated at bottom right, Reginald Johnson '87, depicting Roses, Pansies et al, displayed in the XVIIth Century Dutch manner and presented here in a contemporary glazed moulded giltwood frame. Reg Johnson was a keen gardener and many of his paintings are in fact of flowers that he and his wife, Ruth, had themselves grown in their garden in Stoke-on-Trent. This one marked on the stretcher in black ink, "SHEILA", for Sheila Malpass, in whose collection it was held for many years.
