A most attractive Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Copper Samovar, the interior of the cover stamped "139 I & W STOTHERT BATH". From 1819 or earlier, John and William Stothert had taken over the management of the ironmongery business run since 1785 by their father, George, the brothers continuing in partnership until William's retirement circa 1837. This lovely old piece is here offered in good period condition albeit that the spigot has been sealed up thus rendering the samovar suitable for decorative, rather than practical use.
