This small, well patinated, Antique Victorian Bronze Figurine of a Centaur probably dates from the mid 19th Century and depicts either Chiron or Nessus, { most likely the former }, the "Greek Key" decoration to the oval base perhaps acknowledging his place in ancient Greek mythology. The inspiration for the piece is of course Canto XII of "Inferno", Book I of Dante's "Divine Comedy" and, suitably placed upon the opening page of this inspired canto, perhaps on your desk or altar, here you have the perfect focal point for daily meditation.
