A very fine and most attractive Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Ironstone Indented Cabinet Plate by John Davenport of Longport, Staffordshire { 1785 - 1835 }. Colourfully decorated in an Imari palette heightened with superb gilding, this piece bears on the reverse the rarely seen brown printed Maker's Mark of an anchor set beneath a ribbon bearing the the word DAVENPORT. { See "Davenport Pottery and Porcelain" ~ T.A.
