Vividly bringing to life the fairy tale made famous by the Brothers Grimm, this lively Late 20th Century Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine of "Rumpelstiltskin", was designed by leading Doulton artist Robert Jefferson, and issued as one of the "Enchantment" series of figurines, only in a cream palette, from 1983 to 1986. This polychrome Different Colourway is therefore most probably unique, and is here offered complete with the Imp's original separate gold wand, emblematic of the "straw into gold" story which lies at the heart of the fairy tale.
