This scarce and fine Mid 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Irene" ~ HN 1952, decorated in a blue and purple colourway, was designed by leading Doulton artist Leslie Harradine, and was issued from 1940 to 1950. This example fully marked on the underside in green with the Royal Doulton printed backstamp of the period, together with the numeral 14, indicating that this piece was issued in 1941, the second year of issue, "Irene", Rd. No. 787516, { for 1933 }, In green script, HN 1952, and in blue the Painter's Monogram, either HJ. or MJ., if the former, unidentified, if the latter possibly for Margaret Jackson, Indistinct impressed Model Number, and impressed Date Code, 14 4 41, for 14th April 1941.
