This Late 20th Century Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Milestone" ~ HN 3297, was designed and modelled by leading Doulton artist Adrian Hughes, who joined the company in 1980, and was issued in this red and blue colourway from 1990 to 1994. The style reminiscent of earlier Crown Staffordshire figurines by which the artist has perhaps been influenced. The underside fully marked in black with the Royal Doulton backstamp of the period, HN 3297, MILESTONE, Modelled by Adrian Hughes, { facsimile signature }, © 1990 ROYAL DOULTON, and Painter's Monogram, PL for either Pat Cordall or Peter Chell.
